Paul Linczak (LIN-chak) was born in Ohio. He holds degrees from the University of Rochester and Syracuse University, and a certificate from the Jagiellonian University. He has spent most of his career in higher-ed administration. His first book, Świnica and Other Stories, won the 2025 Iron Horse Prize and will be published by Texas Tech University Press. His short stories have appeared in The Carolina Quarterly, The Evergreen Review, Fiction International, and elsewhere. He lives in New York City.
